Designer Crafts at Chelsea 2008 was the third year that the Society of Designer Craftsmen offered the best of British Craftsmanship and Design to the public at Chelsea Old Town Hall in the Kings Road.

This was the place to discover what beautiful handmade art is in Britain today, from luxurious scarves and jackets; amazing jewellery and adornments; bespoke furniture and elegant table ware, both functional and visual ceramics, wood turned bowls and unusual cast iron, wood burning stoves.

As designer makers, we are often very isolated and involved in our own work. We are quite compulsive in our commitment to making the best we can. Designer Crafts at Chelsea 2008 was, therefore, an excellent chance for us to get out of our studios and meet you, the public, and talk about our work of which we are so passionate.

This was an opportunity for customers and buyers to acquire modern design or commission a special piece !
